SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, FL -- A shoplifting suspect has become the apparent victim of another crime.
At about 8:30 p.m. Monday, an unidentified man walked into a Circle K store near the corner of Purdy Lane and South Military Trail, then stole a sandwich without paying, according to a store clerk.
Hours later, just before 2 am, the clerk says that same man was the victim of a stabbing right across the street, outside a Mobil gas station. He had apparently gotten into an argument with several other men.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office confirms the stabbing, saying the person was taken to an undisclosed hospital, and that another person was taken into custody. No other information was available.
