Man who shot home invader arrested

 — A man who fatally shot an alleged home invader in November before facing drug and other charges was arrested again Wednesday when investigators turned up drugs in a Germani Drive residence, according to an arrest affidavit released Thursday.

Glenn Everett Hedrick, 54, fatally shot Isaac Collins, 31, in November as he and two other men broke into Hedrick’s home in the 1200 block of South Raymond Avenue. The other two alleged home invaders since have been arrested.

Hedrick was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after the robbery, and eventually faced additional charges after investigators found prescription drugs, drug paraphernalia and marijuana in his home. A dozen pot plants also were found in a shed.

In the most recent incident, St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office investigators raided a home Wednesday in the 100 block of Germani Drive.

Marijuana, oxycodone and other drugs along with a scale and smoking pipes were found in the house.

Hedrick faces charges including trafficking in oxycodone over 14 grams, possession of marijuana with intent, possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of alprazolam, possession of carisoprodol and possession of drug paraphernalia.
