From NBC to the New York Times, their faces have been all over the news.
Because of that, the four Dunbar Village suspects could be considered either criminal celebrities or prime targets.
That's why their lives behind the walls of the Palm Beach County Jail are spent alone.

"It's for their protection because of the nature of their crime, the nature of the allegations against them. It's shocking to even the inmate population so we do have to keep them, in their best interest, by themselves," says Captain Mark Chamberlain with the Palm Beach County Jail.
Fourteen year old Avion Lawson, 15-year old Jakaris Taylor and 16-year old Nathan Walker are all up on the top floor of the jail, where they spend 23-hours a day in isolation.
They don't see each other, or other juveniles.
"They do come out individually for visitation and recreation. Other than that they spend most of their time in their cells," says Chamberlain.
Eighteen year old Tommy Poindexter isn't with the other inmates either.
As an adult he's supposed to be part of the general population. When he was charged Thursday, he was yanked away from the other inmates and put under protective custody.
He too is kept in a cell by himself for most of the day.
"He does everything by himself, recreation, showers, telephone," Chamberlain says.
This kind of treatment is a rarity in the jail.
Out of more than two thousand inmates right now, only five are under protective custody.
Four are the Dunbar Village suspects.
The fifth?
Another high profile case. Jason Shenfeld, the suspect in the death of softball star, Amanda Buckley.
In some ways, these inmates don't know what life behind bars is really like. They don't know the fear of becoming prey or the possibility of seeing justice in jail long before it's ever played out in court.
"Just the nature of the crime is so shocking," says Chamberlain, "it even shocks our inmate population to some extent."
