Helping decipher a difficult math problem, former biology teacher Tiffany Shepherd still finds time to tutor friends' children. After getting booted from the classroom late last month, Shepherd has been caught up in a media whirlwind.

She is entertaining offers from Playboy and Maxim Magazines.

She's claimed all along she never went topless on the charter boat she works on part time, but after our report aired last week, WPTV obtained a photo of Shepherd seemingly doing just that, so we arranged an interview.

She says, “It's not showing anything, it's not frontal or anything it's just me laying on the boat, getting rid of the back tan lines.”

Shepherd claims the photo was taken while she was on the “Smokin 'em” charter boat with friends, not working.

“I wasn't doing topless charters. It was not a frontal picture, I was just laying out...I don't do them.”

She says the photo, like these with her top on were meant to lure clients to the fishing charter.

“It's just a nice picture of my back for people to see...because they do pick you when they schedule a charter.”

The former biology teacher contends she lost her job at Port St. Lucie high school after administrators found out about her side job. She's considering legal action...and fears her teaching days are over.

“I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to teach secondary school anymore. I doubt seriously that I will be able to in Florida.”

Shepherd says she wants to continue working on the boat...and will keep her top on.

“It's whatever you want it to be. People are gonna look for stuff and think I am hiding things. I am not hiding anything...”

The school district has remained quiet on the matter, only releasing a statement that shepherd's contract was terminated due to excessive absences.

Tiffany Shepherd appeared on WILD 95.5 radio this morning and denied ever being topless on the 'Smokin Em' Charters boats.

NewsChannel 5 has obtained a picture from the 'Smokin Em' Charters website of a topless Tiffany Shepherd on a boat.

As of now this photo is no longer on the 'Smokin Em' Charters website.

NewsChannel 5's Eric English sat down with Shepherd to discuss the topless photo.  Check back with wptv.com and Newschannel 5 to see the interview.
