Ice causing trouble up north
LAKE MILLE LACS, MINN. -- A huge sheet of ice is acting like a glacier on speed on Lake Mille Lacs in northern Minnesota and as it quickly moves on shore it endangers property and homes.
Amateur video shows ice creeping on shore at a rate of about one foot in just 30 seconds.
Residents are reporting the ice charging right on into their homes, knocking in doors and windows.
The movement seems to be caused by strong wind gusts pushing the sheet of ice.
