DANIA BEACH, Fla.-- There was a dramatic rescue in South Florida Thursday.
Broward County Fire Rescue worked to free a dog trapped under the hood of a car.
WFOR reports the dog was stuck between the steering mechanism and the axle of the car.
The car traveled several miles before the driver realized the dog was there.
"It was literally like an Indy pit crew," Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue spokesman Mike Jachles told the Sun Sentinel of the team's efforts to free the pooch. "This dog must have nine lives."
Amazingly, the pup wasn't seriously hurt.
It's not clear how the dog got trapped in the car.
