Meet Skyler, a real, live maine lobster. Skyler was caught over the weekend in Scarborough, Maine, by a lobsterman and his daughter.
For you lobster lovers, no, Skyler will not be steamed and served with butter. And for you animal lovers, take heart.
The lobsterman donated Skyler to the Maine State Aquarium, where he joins three other blue lobsters and an orange one. The blue color is a rare genetic mutation.
Skyler is spending a few hours in a cooler to get used to the temperature of the water here. Then he stays in the aquarium lab for a few days before going on display in his very own tank.
