INDIANAPOLIS - Another check-in with TurboRoo shows the tiny puppy with a huge following is still growing and thriving with just two legs.
RTV6 was the first to bring you the story of TurboRoo last month. He was born without his front legs, and his owners surrendered him to The Downtown Veterinarian in Indianapolis.
The disabled puppy was so small that a cart was made from toy parts so he could be mobile.
Since we broke the story, TurboRoo has gotten his forever home. His tale has also gone viral, catching the eye of an engineer in San Diego who has made him a version of a mobility car.
Now, he's grown significantly. He can stand on his hind legs and hop. And he's a speed demon in his new cart. Watch some of our attached videos to see for yourself.
The latest cart has four wheels instead of two, and works the best so far. His adoptive mom, Ashley Looper, said TurboRoo just got the hang of it this week.
She says TurboRoo was very motivated to keep up with her other dog when they went out for a walk.
Now that he's a pro, the engineer is working on yet another version of the cart that will allow him to make turns.
