(NBC 6, NBC NEWSCHANNEL) An iguana in South Florida became stuck in a tight situation and needed some assistance from police.

The little guy was trying to crawl through a fence last month and was stuck for more than a day.

Residents in the area started a forum when they couldn't get him out and decided to call the Pinecrest police.

The iguana rescue is just one of many animal rescues that the department has responded to.

Over time they have also rescued a goat named Stanley, a cockatoo name Pinky, a pig, and even a tortoise.

Pinecrest officials say they take pride in assisting the community for any matter big or small.
