SANTA FE, N.M. - (CNN/KOAT) A New Mexico woman was terrified when she found a 20-pound, 6-foot-long boa constrictor in her pickup truck's engine compartment Thursday morning.

When she opened the hood, she found the snake wrapped around her engine.
Nobody knows how long the snake was there.
Police were called to the scene and an officer was able to take the snake off the engine, animal control was later called and took the reptile.
Officers believe the snake is someone's pet and are looking for the owner.
