Comments to congregation go viral
During a sermon, preacher Jim Standridge of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Skiatook, Oklahoma called out a parishioner.
SHIATOOK, OK - It wasn't your typical Sunday Sermon by Immanuel Baptist Church Pastor Jim Standridge.
At one point he said: "And I noticed on the calendar I'm supposed to marry y'all. What makes you think I would marry you? You're one of the sorriest church members I have."
The pastor is making no apologies.
At another point during the sermon he said: "You're not worth 15 cents and you want me to marry you to her?"
He says if there is a problem in his church, his members have to deal with him, even if it's in public. "I do that a lot. If you were a member here I might call your name out sometime."
A video of his controversial rant went viral and is the talk of the town.
The pastor says he is a loving and caring man, even if he comes across as harsh or even stern. He says he's not afraid to hold people accountable, even in a public setting.

"Most preachers would never do that, but I'm not most preachers," he says.
The young man singled out in the sermon no longer attends the church. But the pastor says he truly loves every single member of his congregation.
