Is Chick-fil-A anti-gay marriage? 'Guilty as charged,' company President Dan Cathy says

The popular food chain Chick-fil-A is causing some controversy after a recent interview in which its president shared the company's views on gay marriage.

Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press that the company is operated on "biblical principles" and is "very much supportive of the family."

When asked in the interview if the company only agrees with a family led by a man and a woman, Cathy answered, "Well, guilty as charged."

According to the LA Times, Cathy said, "We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives," Cathy said.

Cathy also said, "We know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles."
