The Verrückt water slide in Kansas City, Kansas, is the world's tallest water slide, measuring just over 168 feet tall. For some perspective that is an inch taller than Niagara Falls.
The waterpark released video of the first people to take the plunge -- park designer Jeff Henry and engineer John Schooley.
Verrückt is German for "insane," and the video shows that's probably a good description.
Note that the attraction at Schlitterbahn Kansas City Waterpark is not yet open to the public because of safety concerns.
The men survived the 50-foot drop with Henry comparing the experience to jumping off the Empire State Building.
