BOCA RATON, Fla. - Suzanne McDonald loves the convenience of using her smart phone to click and post photos of her young daughter to her Facebook page for all of her friends and family to see.
But this mother was not aware of how easy it could be for a complete stranger to track the locations of where she took those pictures. "It's frightening," McDonald said.
"You could be snapping pictures around, taking pictures throughout your day or whatever and when you are doing that if you are posting those pictures online you are inadvertently telling people where you are all throughout the day. It's an easy thing to do because of the way the devices work," said Jeremy Jacob, a Florida Atlantic University instructor.
