Multi-million dollar mansions in South Florida boast unique rooms

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla.-- There is a trend with a twist unfolding now that you may be doing at your house.  Homeowners are finding special ways to carve out a whole room for a unique purpose.  When they are set in multi-million dollar homes, they can be done on a grand scale.

The house at 707 Oriole Circle in Boca Raton is on the market for $2,650,000.  It’s a contemporary 11,000 square foot home with giant windows overlooking the intra-coastal waterway.  It’s nestled in the Sanctuary community, with about 90 custom homes.

“And it’s made out of glass, literally everywhere you look.  The idea was to bring the outside in,” explained realtor Senada Adzem.

She is the Director of Luxury Sales for Douglas Elliman Real Estate.

From downstairs, you can see up 30-foot ceilings to the master suite.  In the middle of the bedroom, an unusual sight: a large shower with 360 degree views.  Lighting sparkles in changing colors of the rainbow overhead.

“I think you can see there are speakers up there so if we are to put the music on, you will really get to enjoy the whole experience,” Adzem explains.

In Delray Beach at 706 SE 2nd Street, you will find classic Spanish Mediterranean architecture.  The house is listed for $6,995,000.

It has its own 150-foot stretch of the Intracoastal.

“If you are a boat lover, you can pull up right in your own yard,” explained Adzem.

The house is built for the wine lover.  In the center of the entertaining space is a special room that houses about 300 wine bottles. One wall of the bar is an aquarium with a switch you can flip to make it more private.

“The aquarium is a centerpiece and a separation between the kitchen and the wine room,” Adzem explains.
The house also has a wine cellar that houses 2,000 bottles.  There is an additional bar in a game room, and one outside in a spacious covered patio.

On a more serene level, the condo at 1000 South Ocean Boulevard #406 in Boca Raton is listed for $6,495,000.  The ocean-front property has walk-in closets with views of the Atlantic Ocean that are equipped with a refrigerated champagne drawer.

Off another room that can be used as a bedroom or an office, a heated yoga room can close an exercise routine off from the world.

“Heated yoga as you may know, actually allows for your oxygen to go throughout the body more easily,” she says.
