While the popularity of bounce houses has grown, the number of kids being injured in them has also grown.
The Child Injury Prevention Alliance estimates that more than 30 children a day, about one child every 45 minutes is injured nationwide playing in a bounce house.
Many of the children are 5-years old or younger. Injuries that have been reported include broken bones, bumps, bruises and even concussions.
Safety experts recommend you only let one child play in a bounce house at a time. If you allow multiple kids to play, you should make sure they’re similar sizes.
Kids should be at least 6 years old and always have adult supervision.
