It's a parent's worst nightmare...leaving their child behind in their car.
On average, 38 children die in hot cars each year from heat-related deaths after being trapped inside motor vehicles.
Just last week, a child in Delray Beach and a child in Jupiter were both left in hot cars.
Thankfully, both children are okay.
Dennis Aneiros is the inventor of the "Aneiros Smart Vehicle Child Seat Safety System" which activates the car's alarm and turns on the air conditioning if a child is left behind.
He will demonstrate his system during the 5:30 news on NewsChannel 5.
