Office Depot is offering some items for just a penny when customers make a $5 minimum purchase through July 11, 2015. The 1-cent items include a 2-hole manual pencil sharpener, a pencil pouch and erasers.

Staples says in its circular ad this week it will "beat competitors' prices during Back to School." Two-pocket paper folders are 15 cents with a limit of 30 per customer in-store and 10 per online customer with a $25 minimum purchase.

Customers who buy a backpack at Staples get 25 percent off school supplies, according to the ad. In its "extreme deals" for this week, a three-pack of erasers is 75 cents, and BIC Wite-Out two-packs are marked down from $3.99 to $1.

Staples is also offering deals on computers and laptops, according to the ad.

ToysRus has a deal that isn't labeled for back-to-school, but fits that category. Customers who buy any backpack priced at $12.99 or more may get a free Shopkins lunch kit, valued at $9.99, according to its "Deals of the Week" circular good through July 11.
