GREENACRES, Fla. - "I was a little shocked." Jennie Johnson reacts after hearing this morning that there is an arrest in the Andrea Parson's case.
"It's been so long and to maybe solve the case it's unbelievable." Jennie remains hopeful for her daughter's abduction case to be solved. Eight-year-old Christy Luna disappeared on May 27th,1984 after walking to a Greenacres store to buy cat food. "I have never lost hope. Twenty eight years is a long time, but I still have hope that I will find her."
Two years ago, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office released two sketches of a man they believe was involved in Christy's disappearance. No one has been arrested.
"Just to find her and solve it what monster took her, to bring him to justice," said Jennie.
Jennie clings to hope, still living in the same Greenacres home when her daughter Christy vanished. And shedding tears when she looks at computer enhanced pictures of her daughter, who would be 36 this year.
Jennie said, "Closure to find out who did it. And have him put away. I will never get over it, but the not knowing, I really don't know what happened to my daughter. I know she is with God now. She is my angel in Heaven."
