There's going to be a lot of hot air over Lake Worth this weekend.
"We've got the Built Ford Tough Polo and Balloon festival this weekend. It's an event for the entire family. We've got about 18 hot air balloons coming out and everything from regular shaped balloons to special shapes. We're going to give everybody an opportunity whether they want to do a regular balloon ride or a tether ride," said Randy Russell - President, Polo America.
Tethered rides will be 5 dollars, and that money goes to a great cause, supporting our troops.
Jonathan Clark is a Marine and says "Last year at the polo and balloon festival was about to raise about 12 thousand dollars. We're hoping to top that this year know that 100 percent of the donations go to the Injured Marines
Semper Fi Fund."
It was so packed last year in Wellington that they ran out of room! That's why they moved it to a much bigger venue, the Gulfstream Polo Club off Lake Worth Road just west of the turnpike.
From the sky to the ground, the action won't stop.
There's going to be an exciting polo match Friday evening.
Robert Kiger of the Elegante Polo Team says " Polo's like hockey on horseback. So you'll see a lot of great action, horses bumping into each other and guys hooking each others sticks."
The festival will be open in the mornings and evenings only, with Saturday evening having a special sunset balloon glow where all the balloons light up the evening sky.
"It's like walking through seven story fireflies," said Robert.
