In 1949 after a hurrican, my father took us crawfishing just north of Singer Island, and we saw the anchor and somethings . My dad, Ellis Cusworth took us kids home and was going back to get the anchor but by the time he arrived back, which was a couple of days later, the sand had shifted and he couldn't locate it again. we have all kept it in our minds and now someone else has found it again. I think my sister has a spike from something that was there. My dad died in 1982 and he was always wanting to go look again.

My father discovered this wreck in the late 40's, he just didn't have the technology to do anything with that knowledge. I have a spike from that wreck.lakeworthetc

Several years ago, I found some wooden and metal objects attached to a very old looking boat rail off Juno Beach. A friend tied a heavy rope to the old-fashioned metal cleat, but even with his 125 hp engine, could not pull it up. I have samples of the wood, which I loaned to another friend who hunts treasure, and he said it's probably at least two hundred years old. I also have underwater photos of the site, if anyone is interested. JunoJim@msn.com.
