MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL--Workers at a South Florida nursery recently stumbled across a 13-foot Burmese python while spraying for weeds.
Firefighters were called in to capture it.
"It was probably born and raised out in the wild. They tend to hang out around those nurseries because their food source is there and it's probably a wild animal. It's grown up out there and doesn't belong there so it needed to be caught, said Lt. Lisa Wood of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
The snake will likely be used for training and research.
