WEST PALM BEACH, FL -- A man who planned to spend the night at the Four Seasons Resort in Palm Beach spent the night at the Palm Beach County Jail following reports of animal abuse.
Palm Beach Police say, on Tuesday, Nicolaie Blaga dragged his German Shepherd puppies through the Four Seasons lobby.
Detectives say Blaga also stomped on them, causing the female puppy to yelp. She was unable to walk.
Resort staff told police they also saw Blaga abuse the animals in his room.
The hotel manager says Blaga threw the puppies against the wall and door, yanked them by their leash and cursed at them.
It did not take long for managers to throw him out of the resort.
Police found him outside the Four Seasons and found the dogs lethargic and weak.
Blaga faced a judge Wednesday on animal cruelty charges and driving with a suspended license.
The animals are now under the care of Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control. One has a broken leg.
Blaga's bond remains at $5,500.
