We found Iraq wounded warrior Sgt. Brian Beck living in a home that resembled a bomb shelter when we met in 2015.

An I-team investigation found Michael Fabiano ripped out the kitchen and bathroom then abandon the remodeling job.

Sgt. Beck was left with no where to eat, cook or shower other than his back yard.

The I-team contacted Florida's Bureau of Insurance Fraud and they opened a criminal case.

Now 18 months later deputies booked Fabiano into the Pinellas County jail on 3 counts of unlicensed contracting and a felony charge of failing to secure workers compensation.

Sgt. Beck says he’d like to see Fabiano do a year in prison. He faces 5 if convicted.

Our original story caught the attention of NARI a group of local licensed contractors.

NARI poured their time and resources into rebuilding this veteran’s home all free of charge.

Brian says the arrest comes as a relief. He's often wondered if the man responsible for his year of heartache would be held accountable.

Fabiano has bonded out of the Pinellas County jail and is awaiting trial.
