WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - For the first time since we started inspecting restaurant reports, we have some good dining news. I want to highlight restaurants with a trend of perfect scores, but it took a month of reporting on the bad places to find one with a good score.
The state recognized two restaurants in Palm Beach County this week for their pattern of clean records. The state highlights restaurants that had no violations throughout their inspections during a twelve month period. The number of inspections at the restaurant is not a factor.
Flash in the Pan, 9126 SE Bridge Road in Hobe Sound, is a food truck and catering business. Inspectors haven't found any issues during their last 3 visits including the one last week.
For over ten years, the owners have been catering events out of this truck.
Once you're done chowing down on flash in the pan -- how about some ice cream?
Carvel Store #1225, 5901 S. Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach, also got a perfect score. It's the sixth time in a row! Inspectors haven't found one issue since 2011.
Congratulations to both restaurants. It's not easy to get recognized by the state.
It only took a month of dirty dining reports to find two that are running a clean shop!
The map below shows all the restaurants this year that were honored for their trend of perfect scores.
