50 rodent droppings found at South Florida Chinese restaurant

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Inspectors found 50 rodent droppings at Rice King on 45th Street in West Palm Beach. The restaurant added poison inside and outside to keep the pests away from the Chinese restaurant.

A woman who worked at the restaurant showed us around. While showing us around, we saw chunks of red meat sitting out near the back door. The Consumer Watchdog smelled the odor first and then looked down and saw the red meat.

After showing us the rat traps near the back door, we came back inside and the red meat was gone. The Consumer Watchdog asked the worker where the meat went, and the worker said they put it in the freezer to cool it down because it was hot food.

While state inspectors were there, they found raw chicken thawing in a sink and warned the restaurant about that potentially hazardous food.
