With so many years now of smart phones, tablets and flat screens being the most popular purchases on the biggest shopping days of the year, the question has been posed: Will 2015's Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping ads feature less electronics?

In its electronics predictions blog, consumer website GottaDeal.com said yes and no. It expects advertisers will use less real estate to promote specific items because the demand is likely to be less this year.

For example, GPS capability is available in smart phones, so consumers will probably not see as many GPS systems in circular advertisements.

Other items GottaDeal.com believes will be featured less:
- E-readers
- Cameras
- Camcorders
- MP3 players

Smart phones have added all of these capabilities, and online retailer Amazon.com owns most of the e-reader market with its popular Kindle. GoPro cameras will likely be more of an online deal, making it less likely to appear in circular advertisements, according to GottaDeal.com.

The blog also says anything with media streaming capability will likely be "deeply discounted" this shopping season, including Roku and older versions of Apple TV.
