You take your pet to the vet every year thinking you’re doing your best to keep them healthy and safe.

Now a local veterinarian tells the Consumer Watchdog you may be wasting your money and putting your dog at risk because of a common procedure at the vet’s office.

“We get to go to the bank with the money we’re making doing it,” said the veterinarian.

Tuesday night at 11 p-m, hear from two dog owners – one who lost her dog, another whose dog needed emergency surgery after a visit to the veterinarian.

“We never would have imagined that something like that would cause him to collapse,” Stacey said.
