Tropical depression degenerates into wave

The National Hurricane Center stopped issuing alerts about Tropical Depression #2 after it was downgraded to a tropical wave.  It issued its final advisory this morning.

The system has degenerated into a few showers and storms.

The storm pattern that was moving westward in the mid-Atlantic weakened overnight., the hurricane center said. 

It is expected to pass by the Lesser Antilles, south of Puerto Rico, tonight, the hurricane center said.
