WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Science camp is big this year with the recent expansion of the south Florida Science Center and Aquarium. There's a different topic every week!
-Check the Science camp schedule-
Kristian Zambrana is a science camp counselor and explains, "To have a different hands on experience and actually learn the science, see the science, feel the science, smell it. Do all those senses and to get all of that really enriches their knowledge, it makes them want to learn science more."
Jamie Duke is having fun at the camp "My favorite thing about science camp is that we do science like rockets and volcanoes, and mars rovers and moon rocks!"
There are lots of other cool science things to do, but if science isn't your thing, maybe you like to get up close and personal with animals like banjo the Alligator? Then Zoo Camp is your thing.
The groups of kids are enthusiastic about the camp and yell "We love zoo camp!!!!!!"
Cameron Silverman has been to the camp before, and loves to come back. "I like getting up close to the animals because it's something that you can't do in many other places, and some of these animals are animals you don't see very often. You're not gonna find a kangaroo that you can hang out with in many places."
Little Chloe Tolton says "You get to see a lot of behind the scenes animals and where they get to sleep in the night house…and that's really cool because you don't get to do that every day."
And if that's still not for you, there are plenty of
surf camps up and down the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches.
There's also an
Broadway Workshop at the Kravis Center where kids can learn to sing, dance, act and perform on stage.
If you really want to get crazy fun, the city of Vero Beach is offering an
Aerial Antics Circus Camp where kids will learn the trapeze, rings, tumbling and other circus arts.
