Hit by car in suburban Lake Worth
3-year-old remains in critical condition, Sheriff's office calls it an accident

A 3-year-old child is in critical condition after being struck by a car near an ice cream truck in Lake Worth, says Captain Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
LAKE WORTH, Fla. - A three-year-old girl is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Lake Worth, according to Captain Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
The accident happened shortly after 6 p.m. in the 6000 block of Oak Royal Drive, says Borroto.
Initial reports stated the toddler had been struck by a vehicle near an ice cream truck.
First arriving crews found the child laying in the roadway, says Borroto.
She was flown by Trauma Hawk in critical condition to Delray Medical Center, confirms Borroto.
