A man from Iowa City, Iowa is facing charges after he allegedly got a puppy drunk on vodka.

According to police, Jared Levi Colony was "dog-sitting" for the dog's owner when he poured the alcohol into Pip's dog bowl and encouraged him to drink it.

When the owner arrived to pick up the pup, it was lying on the floor unresponsive with its tongue hanging out of its mouth.

Pip survived after two days of care in a veterinary hospital. As for Colony, he faces up to two years in prison and a fine up to $5,000.
