Michael Richards Giant Baby TV Land pilot: Seinfeld's Kramer to act with Kirstie Alley, Rhea Perlman

"Seinfeld" fans, prepare to see a familiar face back on the small screen.

Michael Richards, who portrayed the lovable neighbor Kramer on Jerry Seinfeld's defining '90s comedy, has been cast alongside Kirstie Alley and Rhea Perlman in a TV Land pilot called "Giant Baby," Deadline Hollywood reports.

Alley portrays the protagonist in the comedy, which was created by "Samantha Who?" and "Desperate Housewives" executive producer Marco Pennette.

The 61-year-old "Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars" contestant will play Madison "Maddie" Banks, a Broadway performer whose life is shaken up when the son she gave up for adoption (Eric Petersen) returns with hopes of connecting with her after his adoptive mom dies.

Perlman will play Maddie's friend and assistant and Richards will portray her limo driver. Also joining the cast as a guest star is Gilles Marini, who will play Maddie's chef.

The last time we saw Richards with regularity on TV, it was on his brief 2000 series "The Michael Richards Show," which followed "Seinfeld's" conclusion in 1998 after nine seasons on the air. Since then, Richards has popped up on TV in a guest role on "Seinfeld" co-creator Larry David's "Curb Your Enthusiasm," and also did voicework in Jerry Seinfeld's 2007 animated feature, "Bee Movie."

Yet Richards isn't the only "Seinfeld" alum with casting news. Jason Alexander, who starred with Richards on "Seinfeld" as George Costanza, tweeted Tuesday, "Filming a crazy episode of 'Community' this week. Can't say much about it but it's a fun one."
