AIRPORTS
Palm Beach International Airport (PBIA) remains fully operational. There are flight cancelations to Marsh Harbor.
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport ( FLL) remains fully operational. As of Friday morning, FLL has 15 arrivals and 14 departures canceled for a total of 29 from Freeport, Nassau, Georgetown as well as Eleuthera, Kingston, Jamaica and Port au Prince, Haiti.
PALM BEACH COUNTY OPENINGS
MoonFest 2012 will be open from 6 p.m. through midnight in the City of West Palm Beach.
Palm Tran will fully operational on Friday and does not expect to have to cancel or modify service.
Tri-Rail will operate on a normal weekday schedule on Friday, October 26.
PBC government offices are open on Friday.
The Lake Worth Beach, Benny’s on the Beach and Mulligan’s Beach House Bar & Grill will remain open till further notice.
Jupiter Town Hall and municipal buildings including the Community Center are open for business as usual on Friday, October 26, 2012.
All Jupiter parks and park facilities are open. The Jupiter Community Center is also open for normal hours Friday.
The City of Boynton Beach Recreation and Parks Department is announcing the cancellation of all evening programs on Friday, October 26, 2012. Storm-force winds from Hurricane Sandy are the cause for the closure.
All weekend programs are open at this time. Outdoor activities, based upon weather conditions, may be cancelled.
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY OPENINGS
Indian River County government offices will be open.
Landfill will be open.
Indian River County Courthouse will be open.
Indian River County beaches will be open.
IRC municipality offices will be open for regularly scheduled hours.
All bridges within the county will be open for travel. Extreme care should be exercised while driving on all roads as the high winds and gusts may create hazardous conditions.
CLOSED:
PALM BEACH COUNTY
The City of West Palm Beach's GreenMarket will be closed on Saturday, October 27th.
Lake Worth Pier is now closed until further notice due to forecast wind gusts and wave heights brought on by Hurricane Sandy.
The Catholic Diocese of Palm Beach has postponed its dedication ceremony of the Catholic Charities St. Francis Center Friday because of weather conditions. The event will now take place on November 16th.
The Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts Theatre department has canceled the Friday, October 26th performance of A RAISIN IN THE SUN at the school. Information regarding weekend performances will be released when available, pending the status of the storm warnings.
All Palm Beach County Boys & Girls Clubs will be closed on Friday, Oct 26. For information, parents may call 561-683-3287.
Armory Art Center will be closed Friday.
Palm Beach County Head Start locations are closed Friday due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy. Head Start staff should report to their location as scheduled.
ST. LUCIE COUNTY
Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center on Hutchinson Island will be closed on Friday. They are scheduled to reopen Saturday, October 27th.
