KEY WEST, Fla. - Rain and wind continues to drench and whip through Key West Sunday evening as Isaac passes the island city. Damage is minimal, although a few boats have been blown into shore and a few downtown streets are covered with water.
The U.S. Coast Guard is urging people to remain off the water until Monday.
"We have no response capability right now, we have done nothing to try and recover any property. We're not in a position where we can do anything right now. So it's essential that people really heed this message and not be out on the water," says Captain Ayl Young, with the U.S. Coast Guard.
Water covered parts of U.S. 1 in the early afternoon, that has since receded. Rain totals for Key West top 1.5 inches Sunday.
