Okeechobee Blvd. turnpike entrance, exit ramps closed this weekend to add SunPass-only lanes

All entrance and exit ramps at the Okeechobee Boulevard turnpike interchange will be closed this weekend as crews work to install SunPass-only lanes at the northbound and southbound entrances.
The ramps will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, June 1, until 5:30 a.m. Monday, June 4.
While the Okeechobee Boulevard interchange is closed, motorists should use the Southern Boulevard interchange as an alternate. Electronic signs will advise travelers about the closure and detours.
In addition to SunPass-only lanes at Okeechobee Boulevard, work will also add the fast-pass lanes at the Southern Boulevard interchange.
The project is expected to be completed by late August.
