Port St. Lucie -- Entering the 2013 season, Treasure Coast head coach Irvin Jones knew his team needed a kicker.
Following spring practice, he found two in senior Helen Ramsey and sophomore Olivia Thomas.
Yes, two female kickers.
According to the National Federation of State High School Associations, there are more than 1,500 girls playing football at American high schools.
Thomas will kick for the Titans' JV squad while Ramsey takes over the varsity duties.
