JUPITER, Fla. -- St. Louis Cardinals center fielder and South Florida native, Jon Jay, will play a big role in helping the Birds win their 12th World Series championship in franchise history.

The former Miami Hurricane finished 2012 with a .305 average but it's what he can offer on defense that'll help St. Louis advance to its third-straight postseason.

ESPN 106.3's Emerson Lotzia caught up with Jay at spring training in Jupiter this week.  Click on the video attached to watch the interview.
