TEQUESTA, Fla. -- Sixteen-year-old, Sam Horsfield of Davenport, prevailed over the field of 168 players to capture the 96th Florida State Amateur Championship at Jupiter Hills Club in Tequesta.
Horsfield went three-under on Sunday, finishing the tournament at four-under, eleven strokes better than Sean Kelly who finished in second place.
