Whale shark gives divers rare encounter

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL - Divers off Palm Beach near The Breakers reef experienced a site rarely seen across the world. A whale shark swam right into a group with Jim Abernethy's Scuba Adventures last weekend.
Abernethy rolled footage (which you can view by clicking the video tab to the left) as the huge plankton eater of the deep came within inches of the lens.
Several divers were able to reach out and touch the whale shark.
Whale sharks are considered threatened, making a sighting even more fascinating.
