Formula H20 returns to Pompano Bch. July 29-31

You have heard of NASCAR well this is NASCOOTER! We set up a race track underwater around the wreck of the Copenhagen located just off Greater Ft. Lauderdale. Participants race around the course on Diver Propulsion Vehicles (DPVs). There are categories for all makes and models and awards will be given for each race. Also there will be a seperate race for Freedivers and a special race for Disabled Divers & Veterans.

If you don't have a DPV don't feel left out, this is a great spectator event, but you do have to get wet! Spectators
can snorkel and watch from above or you can use SCUBA and watch from the infield below. Spectators will also be able to listen to the race in the water, being broadcast live through a Self Contained Underwater Broadcast System (SCULS).

Join us for great fun and enjoy some world class diving while you are here. Greater Ft. Lauderdale is home to 23 miles of coral reef and over 30 ship wrecks. Also try out a DPV on DEMO day!

Mini Lobster Season July 27-28

Mini Lobster Season is a highly anticipated event every year. If you have never experienced the frenzy you don't know what you are missing. The season lasts 48 hours after which it closes and regular lobster season opens 9 days later.

South Florida Advantage

In the Florida Keys (Monroe County) the limit per person per day is (6) as opposed to South Florida which is (12) per person per day. South Florida Reefs are not as crowded as the Keys and the hotels do not raise their rates for "Mini Lobster Season". In addition we don't anchor dive, we drift dive. You can cover more ground.
