STUART, Fla. - Senator Joe Negron (R) of Stuart is planning a day-long public hearing next month on damage being caused as water is released from Lake Okeechobee into the St. Lucie Estuary.
The hearing is set for August 22.
Meanwhile the South Florida Water Management District just launched a new webpage that's designed to keep residents in Martin and St. Lucie Counties updated on information concerning the river and estuary.
