PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - A beach cleanup in Palm Beach is leaving the island cleaner and safer for nesting sea turtles.
In this effort 500 pounds of trash was removed from the shoreline. 48 people -- residents and merchants alike-- concentrated their efforts on the north end of the island.
Dubbed "Turtle Tuesdays", these cleanups are planned on the second Tuesday of the month,
through October. The next one is scheduled for July 9.
