CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) -- Two people familiar with the situation say NCAA investigators spent several days in Miami earlier this month as part of the continued inquiry into the Hurricanes' athletic program.

It remains unknown when the NCAA investigation will end, both people told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because no information about the probe has been released publicly. The investigation into Miami's compliance practices has been ongoing for about a year.

With training camp looming, Miami still has more questions than answers, along with new problems. Safety Ray-Ray Armstrong was dismissed earlier this week, many underclassmen left early after last season and no one around the program is exactly sure when better days will arrive.
