It's official: Mike Miller is returning to Memphis.
The Grizzlies confirmed in a news release Tuesday morning that Miller has signed a contract to return to the team he was a part of from 2002 to 2008. Miller told the team of his intentions to do that almost a week ago and agreed to the terms of the deal Saturday.
"We are extraordinarily pleased to welcome Mike Miller back to Memphis,” Griz CEO Jason Levien said in a news release. “Mike is a special figure in our community due to his contributions both on and off the court. Mike is an elite three-point shooter, as Grizzlies fans know first-hand, and we expect his shooting, play-making, hustle and leadership to be a key component in our team competing with the best in the NBA next season.”
Miller, 33, was amnestied by Miami this month.
