BOCA RATON, FL. - It's time to team up on some of South Florida's best tennis courts to help in the battle against breast cancer.
'Playing Pink for a Cure,' a mixed doubles tennis tournament, will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club.
100% of proceeds from the tournament will be donated to Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
The event is open to the public, but participants who are not Club members must pre-register by April 7.
Cancer survivor Theresa Lana-Schnittman and Resort member Gina Cirbulyte have teamed up with the Resort's Director of Tennis Erik Silver and Director of Adult Tennis Camp Drew Evert to organize the event.
Competitive and recreational players are welcome to participate.
'Playing Pink for a Cure' runs from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. and includes awards, raffles, live and silent auctions.
Participants are asked to donate $100 to compete and $25 to be a spectator.
