Miami Dolphins player Reggie Bush stands by his comment that the 'team stinks'

DAVIE, Fla. - After the Miami Dolphins dropped another game Sunday, Reggie Bush gave his honest opinion on the situation.

"Right now, this team stinks," he said.

It sounds like a natural thing to say with a 0-6 record, but Dolphins safety Yeremiah Bell was not happy with Bush's comment.

"That shouldn't be said around this locker room," Bell said Wednesday. "We know that we're 0-6 and we're not playing the best, but at the same time there's no need for that."

A day after Bell's response, Miami's running back didn't back away from what he said following Sunday's loss to the Broncos.

"I still stand by it because there's nothing fun about being 0-6," Bush said. "There's no room for sensitivity in this league. This is a man's game and we all signed on the dotted line."

Bell said he has not spoken to Bush about the issue behind closed doors because he "thinks the way [Bush] said it was taken out of context."

However, Bush, who was traded to the Dolphins in the off season, meant what he said. "What else would I mean?" he said.

"It's time for a little gut check. What do we want to do? Do we want to listen to the media and maybe lose the rest of these games, and play for the first pick? Or do we want to play for a little pride and turn this thing around, and maybe make a push for the playoffs?"
