Comedian and talk show host Artie Lange tells TMZ he wasn't shocked at Chris Culliver's homophobic comments during their pre-game interview at the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Lange says that Culliver's anti-gay feelings are probably shared by 99% of the NFL.

Lange tells TMZ he hopes NFL players will become more tolerant of gay players, though he doubts that will happen unless, "...a real star player ... a Jackie Robinson type ... a real star player is gonna have to come out WHILE HE'S PLAYING ... and other people will follow."

TMZ reports that the 49ers have announced that Culliver will undergo sensitivity training with an LGBT organization.
