ZIMBABWE - Three women in Zimbabwe are going on trial Monday, accused of raping at least four men to get their sperm for ritualistic use, reports ABCNews .
According to BBC News , Zimbabwean police believe there is a nationwide syndicate of women raping men, reportedly to use their sperm in rituals that aim to make people wealthier and luckier.
One alleged victim, according to BBC News , released a statement on national television saying, one of the women threw water in his face, injected him with something that gave him "a strong sexual desire" and made him have sex with each women several times while using condoms. The women allegedly collected the semen by saving the used condoms.
The suspects were taken by police about 170 miles outside of the capital city of Harare, according to ABCNews. Police found 31 used condoms in their car.
According to ABCNews , the women denied the charges, claiming they are prostitutes and did not have time to dispose of the condoms.
At least nine men have come forward with stories of being attacked by this group, ABC reports.
Zimbabwean law does not recognize the act of a woman raping a man, according to BBC, so the women have been charged on 17 counts of aggravated indecent assault.
