In a rematch of its gold medal match in Beijing four years ago, the USA men's basketball team defeated Spain, the current world No. 2, Sunday.
The final score was USA 107- Spain 100.
The United States was led by Kevin Durant's 30 points.
The game pitted several NBA players against each other. Spain's Pau Gasol played against his Los Angeles Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant of the USA, while Spain's Serge Ibaka competed against his Oklahoma City Thunder teammates, Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook of the USA.
"This is all about the USA, it's not about me," LeBron James said after the game.
Prior to Sunday's match the U.S. men's basketball team had won gold at four of the past five Olympic Games, with the exception being the 2004 Athens Games.
